How to make a teddy: Sustainably make a new friend from fabric scraps

MATERIALS:
(Secondhand) fabric
Thread
Needles
Pins
Scissors
Stuffing (any sort)
This paper pattern
Buttons (optional)
Ribbon (optional)
NOTE: Please be careful with sharp objects!
Draw this teddy pattern on an A4 sheet of paper

Cut the paper pattern out.

Choose some fabric, place paper pattern on fabric and pin. Cut out 2 body pieces, 2 face pieces and 4 ear pieces.

Pin the body together, pin two pairs of ears together, stitch around ears and body using whip or blanket stitch.

Stuff ears and body.

Pin face together then pin ears to face, stitch cars to face using straight or backstitch.

Stitch around half of the face, stuff, then stitch around the remainder, closing it.

Stitch face to the body with a straight/ backstitch

BONUS STEP:
Decorate face with buttons/sequins/beads/ threads to create eyes and mouth. Add ribbon.
